2nd Annual Rochester Table Tennis Tournament Had High Competition
The 2nd annual Rochester table tennis tournament had an excellent showing, with 25 competitors entering. The players were evenly distributed into four pools. The tournament started on Monday the December 19 with everyone playing everyone else in their pool, and the top four players from each pool would then go on to bracket play. Tuesday started with the Sweet 16, the first round of bracket play. The Sweet 16 consisted of: Nic Atkinson, Eric Miller, Shane Ruggless, Corey Cox, Joe Wellbaum, Matt Jeffers, Mike Maloney, Pat Capps, Andy Maloney, Ty Milner, Jordan Jeffers, Tyler Leonard, Nick Blough, Brett Leonard, Nathan Atkinson, and Zaxxson Nation. All games in bracket play were up to 11, best out of 7 games. Last years champ, Nic Atkinson, lost to Shane Ruggless in the Final Four. Shane then lost to Nathan Atkinson in 6 games.
